Paper Sweeties 25 Days of Christmas 2018

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 16 of 25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties

Today I am bringing you a fun tag created with Planner Series Stamp Set Happy Holidays

The first time I saw this stamp set I noticed the reindeer and just loved it so. I knew that I had to use that reindeer somewhere for something.

I came up with the perfect idea. I decided to use the reindeer to create a background. I die cut a circle using the Sweet Cuts Circle Scalloped Frame. The die creates a scalloped outside and I used the inside circle to make my tag.

I then stamped the cute little reindeer in all different directions around the tag. Then I took my Zig markers and colored three different shades of brown. Once that was done I took my red Zig marker and colored the nose.

After all the coloring was done I punched out a hole in the top and strung some twine and Sugar Sprinkles Seam Binding through the top so that it could be used just about anywhere.

I love adding cute decorations to my planner so that is exactly where this tag ended up after I created it. I absolutely love how it came out and I love getting to look at it in my planner setup!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - December 2018!

It's the Holiday Season!!

This is one of my favorite times of year. Everyone is getting back from their Thanksgiving celebrations and starting to prepare for their Hanukkah and Christmas plans.

I know for me I always have to plan out all of the gifts that I get for my friends and family. This year I was able to use some fun stamps from Paper Sweeties to decorate my lists.

Lists are just so much more fun when you can add cute stickers and stamps.

For this month I used multiple different stamp sets to add in each activity. Eleven to be exact. Eleven different stamp sets I used. I used Appointments, Celebrate, Check List, Coffee, Everyday Basics, Fall Sentiments, Get Your Craft On, Happy Holidays, Happy Icons, Shapes and Winter Sentiments.

I used Zig Markers to color in the balloons, the heart, the coffee beans, the snowflake and the reindeer. The Zig Markers do bleed a little bit through the Erin Condren Life Planner but not too bad. I was able to cover up the other side using a sticker for that week.

Now onto the lists. Lists are so important when it comes to the holidays. Everyone is preparing gifts, meals, vacations and so much more. I know for me I would be lost without my lists.

I use a Filofax Pocket Rings for my everyday carry and recently I have also been using the new Erin Condren Petite Folio. I love the dailies and it is so easy to keep track of all of my lists from
day to day.

Make sure to stay tuned to Paper Sweeties throughout the whole month! We are changing it up a little this month. Each day a different design team member will be sharing their projects with you. Also there may or may not be a new stamp being released this month so I would definitely stick around if I were you😉

Thanks for stopping by! Please make sure to head on over to my fabulous team and check out all of their posts for today!

Happy Holidays from my family to yours!

Exciting News!

Hey everyone!

I am back today to tell you some very exciting news for our shop PrettyPaperPieces4U on Etsy. My mom and I have been working on this idea for quite some time now and I am so excited that I am finally able to share it with all of you.

This creation has been in the works for years and it has finally been possible to release it!
As you all may or may not know my mom, Lisa is pretty creative. She used to design invitations and from there went to scrapbook layouts and now she designs cards, tags and so much more. She has her own blog and Instagram dedicated to her crafty-ness! Whenever I need a card or tag or dashboard for my planner, she is the one that I turn to and beg her for yet another crafty design.

With all of that being said, she designed the cutest little character and has been drawing it since she was in high school. Now I won't tell you how old she is but its been a while😝
(LOVE YOU MOM💕)

Ever since I opened my Etsy Shop I knew that I wanted this character but we had no way or means of bringing it to life. It was my dream to see this come to life.

Well ladies and gentleman, we have brought it to life. We have made that dream a reality. We actually did it and I could not be happier. I am so excited to finally be able to share this with you.

I would like to present, Squiggly!!

This fun new character has been a dream for so long and I am beyond excited to be able to make that dream a reality today!! I hope that you all love Squiggly as much as we do.

Stay tuned for even more Squiggly releases in the next few weeks!

Thank you all for stopping by!

Use the Stickers!

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share my weekly spread and talk a little bit about my style of planning.

I have been in the planner community for 3 1/2 years and in that time I have acquired quite the sticker collection. Binders full of stickers ranging from functional to decorative. I know I am not the only one who struggles with this so that is why I am writing this post.

I find it hard to use certain stickers so instead I hoard them. I know I am not alone. I know countless of us other planner gals and dudes do this as well.

I have been asked what good is that going to do to hoard them?!

Well I am not quite sure lol. Anybody have any guesses?🧐

So this week (after 3 1/2 years of planning) I decided to use the stickers.

What good is hoarding them doing?

Nothing.

They are still going to remain in the binder and I won't be able to enjoy them. By using them I will be able to view them throughout the week. I will also have a picture of the spread which will more than likely be posted to Facebook and Instagram.

So I have decided. I am going to use my stickers. I am going to use all the cute stickers that I have been hoarding because they were too cute to use.

Too cute to use?!

That is the point! Use the cute stickers. Use the cute washi. Use it all!

So in honor of this light bulb moment in my life😝here is a picture of my spread from this week.
I used Planning Made Easy's October Sub Box from last year. I used the remaining stickers from the sheet because I had used this kit last year. So all the stickers that I decided last year I was going to hoard, I used this year for this week's spread. So here is my before and after the pen spread.

Please let me know what stickers you have been hoarding for the past few years because I would love to know!

Thank you for stopping by!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - November 2018!

Hello my crafty friends!

Can you believe it is November 1st? Where did October go?

Well if you have been following for me for at least a month you know what today is.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, I’ll fill you in.

The 1st of every month is when the Planner Series New Releases are shared from Paper Sweeties.

This month we are bringing you a GREAT set that can be used in all types of planner spreads. This stamp set is called Everyday Basics. It is just that; stamps that you can use for all of your everyday tasks and events.

This stamp set includes times!! Times!! How perfect is that for all of us planner girls?!

I have used the time stamps from my daily work schedule to my monthly view for shows and such. I really love having times in stamps. My work schedule is set each day and the times do not change so these are perfect for recording times that don’t change daily.

I used a few more stamps from this set including "Get it Done, Nap Time, Remember and Work." I was able to add in the times after stamping the word "work" throughout the month. I love adding in all of these different phrases! Nap Time is my personal favorite and I just love how it angled on every Saturday for the month of November.

I also used other stamp sets from Paper Sweeties. I used Appointments, Celebrate, Fall Sentiments and Get Your Craft On.

The word "Show" is from the Planner Series "Appointments" set.

The "Birthday" and cupcake stamps are from the Planner Series "Celebrate" set.

The acorn and leaf are from the Planner Series "Fall Sentiments" set.

The phrase "Blog Post.," "New Release," and "Social Media" are from the Planner Series "Get Your Craft On" set.

I really love all of the stamp sets in the Planner Series Collection at Paper Sweeties. They are all so functional and they just add such a nice look to my planner. They are also in such a cute font that I love reading all of the tasks and events that I have in my planner.

Make sure to post your PS projects each month and tag Paper Sweeties for a chance to win a $25 gift card at the end of the month.

Also make sure to check out the rest of the group to see how they are using their new Everyday Basics this month!

Maria Patrick

The new stamp set Everyday Basics will be released on November 15th so mark it down in your planner! So if you feel like you would like to shop then and now head to the shop where you can find all of the other products listed! Then make sure to join us on the 15th so you can purchase your Everyday Basics and start jotting down your timed to-dos.

Thank you all for stopping by today and make sure to check out these and all of the other Planner Series stamp sets at Paper Sweeties!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series - October 2018!

Hi everyone! I have some exciting news that I wanted to share with all of you!

I am joining Paper Sweeties Planner Team and today is my very first blog post being on the team!

I am so excited and so grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much Debbie!

There are a few stamp sets that I want to share today and they are Appointments,  Business Basics, Coffee, Sent From My Heart and Shapes. I love all of the stamps in the Planner Series because they are perfect for any type of planning that you want to do.

Each stamp set offers a variety of different words that can be used on monthly, weekly, daily and even hourly spreads. There is no limit to what you can create with these stamp sets!

So let me share a little about each stamp set that I mentioned above.

First is Appointments and these cover all daily and weekly tasks that we all tend to. This set is perfect for adding in functional and decorative stamping to your layouts. It has multiple appointments listed and even some adorable dog and cat stamps to decorate your planner.

I chose to use the dog stamp as a border which you can see in the pictures below.

The next stamp set is Business Basics and this set is perfect for adding in different events or meetings you may have in that month. There really are a lot of different words/sentiments to choose from with this set.

The next one is Coffee and I just love the images that come with this set. There are even coffee beans that would look really cute as a border around your planner. This set also comes with numerous words all surrounding coffee which is perfect because we all know we can't start our day without coffee. What better way to do that then by stamping in "Coffee Time" into our planners.

The next set is not from the Planner Series but I really loved the flower stamp in Sent From My Heart so I decided to stamp those flowers around in multiple boxes. I colored them in with Zig markers to give it a nice pop of color.

The last set is Shapes and there are so many different ways to use all of them. My particular favorite is the arrow. The arrow is perfect for showing a length of time in my planner whether that be vertical or horizontal depending on the event. As you can see I stamped the arrow as well as the ribbons along the side of my planner. I thought that the ribbons made the perfect "Goal" section and I really love how it came out.

Here is how the whole month of October turned out and I am so very happy with it! It was a lot of fun to stamp in my planner and add some coloring as well.

Also be sure to follow my amazing team members and show them some love!
Thank you all for stopping by today and make sure to check out these and all of the other Planner Series stamp sets at Paper Sweeties!

Planner Peace...Does it Exist?

Ever heard of planner peace? Ever experience it?

I have been planning my whole life but in the last 3 and a half years I have fallen down some type of rabbit hole called the planning community. I have loved and am loving every second of it.

In the planning community there has been a lot of talk of "planner peace."

What is that you may ask?

Planner peace is when you are at peace and have no desire to change your current planner or setup. For most people this is very easy to achieve because they have found what works for them. The rest of us are still searching for what works for us.

Now you can have planner peace even if it only lasts for a day. You have found peace for one whole day. Maybe a whole month or maybe you change hourly. (There's a planner for that😝)

No matter how long it lasts for, it counts.

Now let's talk about my planner peace or lack thereof.

I started planning in 2015 after my mom, Lisa, told me about Erin Condren! I immediately started searching the internet and before I knew it I had a brand new Erin Condren Life Planner in my hands. This was perfect. Perfect horizontal layout and soon after I was scouring Etsy for the perfect sticker kit. Added in some washi and my planner layout was done.

Soon after, Kikki.K was the next big planner I had to have. I spent quite some time in a personal rings Kikki K. From there it was a Michael's Recollections planner, Michael's zippered planner and not before long I had my very first Foxy Fix. Let's also not forget that while I was trying all of these planners, I still had my trusty Erin Condren at all times.

Foxy Fix number one was a pocket wide Sugar Icing. This was perfect and went everywhere with me. I could throw it in my purse and it was the perfect size. I really enjoyed using this planner and it definitely helped me to figure out the type of setup that I was happy with.

From there I went to another pocket wide in Sugar Cookie. Then came a B6 in Sugar Cookie. Then in December of 2017, Foxy Fix announces they are releasing personal rings. Well of course I had to have it!

I ordered the day that they came out and after the long anticipated wait, I had a Foxy Fix Personal Rings in the beautiful new spice saffron leather.

I have been customizing this planner for 8 months now I think that I can say I have found semi planner peace. That's kind of the same thing...right?

Anyway, I love this planner and I still have and use my Erin Condren vertical Life Planner. I have also tried pocket rings. But these last 8 months I have used the personal rings and the ECLP consistently. Well semi consistently. We all know how that goes!

So planner peace? Have I found it? Sort of!

I am happy planning and that is what's most important!!

What about you? I'd love to know!

Go Wild. Amazing. End of Story.

Hello everyone! This past weekend I attended Go Wild for the very first time with my mom and it was truly life changing. I was so grateful for the chance to go and to go with my crafty mom. My mom is amazing and without her this trip would not have been possible. I am so grateful she agreed to take this trip with me! The entire weekend was the most amazing experience full of inspirational speakers and women. I listened to all of the speakers and got to meet other women who I have admired for years. I continued to say "It was my world brought to life." I have been part of Facebook groups and I follow several planner girls on Instagram but to have all of that in person was truly amazing. Everyone was so friendly and happy to talk and take selfies😝. I have so many pictures to share. I have missed the last two years but I don't ever want to miss this event again. The admins who pulled this off are also amazing. They created such a wonderful event where everyone can come together and share the same passion and hobby. I felt so comfortable and being in the same room as the people who shared the same hobby as I do was an incredible feeling. We all have those friends and family members who don't quite understand what we do or why we do it but I can tell you that this weekend I did not feel as though anyone at Go Wild thought I was weird or judged me for talking about my multiple planners. I could go on and on about the weekend but the bottom line is it was simply amazing. If you have not had the chance to Go Wild and the opportunity does arise, take it! This was a weekend I was so happy I did not miss out on. I had the best time and I can't wait to see all of the new friends I made and continue to meet new friends in Vegas next year!
